SOTG SMALL WORKS SHOWCASE

PLUS

ARCHIVAL EXHIBITION

FEATURING A LOOK BACK AT PREVIOUS EXHIBITIONS.

Opening Friday 25 February at the Gallery is the SOTG Small Works Showcase,

This exhibition is a presentation of small works by our 2022 Sculpture on the Gulf walkway artists.

Expect to see a fabulous selection of works from their creative minds ranging from ceramics to painting, drawings, weaving and marquette’s of the larger walkway works.

Invited artists from previous SOTG events are also featured in the exhibition and present sculpture created in bronze and metal, glass and neon.

As in previous years this exhibition is a journey of discovery, where you will find joy, delight and intrigue.  Find a favourite piece to add to your collection and take it with you.

A  look back at the history of Sculpture on the Gulf is presented in one of the smaller galleries and includes archival objects, iconic images and marquette’s from the gallery’s permanent collection alongside an interactive experience of the 2019 event on the Gallery’s ‘Touch Table’.

Adjacent to the gallery, in the Artworks Courtyard, an installation by NZ Cambodian artist Lang Ea extends the SOTG walkway exhibition into Oneroa.

The exhibition at the Gallery continues through till the end of March.

The SOTG bus stops at the Waiheke Library and the Gallery is accessed from the Artworks Courtyard.

Waiheke Community Art Gallery is open seven days from 10am to 4pm.
