Programming excellence
Collaborating with artists and the local community to co-create a distinctive art experience that celebrates the best of New Zealand’s contemporary sculpture presented within the Waiheke Island landscape.

Success Measure: Visitor response and critical acclaim confirms the outstanding quality of the event and affirms its status as a significant international art event and the premier exhibition of New Zealand contemporary sculpture in the landscape.

Engaging visitors
Increasing the engagement of local, national and international visitors with the sculpture event, enhancing the visitor experience and connecting visitors with the local community.

Success Measure: Visitor attendance, demographics and satisfaction measures confirm high levels of positive engagement with the sculpture event, and community feedback confirms increasing engagement with local cultural, tourism and business interests.

Sustaining the project
Increasing net revenues, improving operational efficiency and developing the appropriate governance and operational capacity to sustain the project as a viable, long-term biennial event.

Success Measure: Effective governance and operational management is evident in the achievement of programming, visitor experience and engagement outcomes and the future financial viability of the project is secured by operating surpluses that build an appropriate equity base.
