Debbie Fish – Biography

Debbie Fish is an installation artist, and set designer based in Wellington.

Her installations are inspired by social and environmental concerns, often using playful ways to examine complex issues. In 2017 she was selected to spend a month in Taiwan as one of the artists in residence as part of the Keelung NMMST (National Museum of Marine Science and Technology) International Environmental Art Project.

Often working with her partner David Goldthorpe, her installation works have been exhibited at Sculpture in the Gardens, LUX Light Festival, Light Nelson Festival, Splore Festival, The Performance Arcade, Taupō Winter Festival, Coastella Music Festival,  Wharepuke Sculpture Park, Lakehouse Arts Centre, 30 Upstairs, Artrium Gallery and Matchbox Studios. Her works are in the James Wallace Trust Pah Homestead, Fish Factory Creative Centre of Stöðvarfjörður, Iceland.
